The Work
Tundra Engineering is an EPCM firm working for owners and operators in upstream and midstream energy, with a head office in Calgary, Alberta and a United States office in Houston, Texas. The two offices draw on the same team rather than running as separate businesses. Projects range from greenfield builds through brownfield tie-ins, Management of Change (MOC) packages, and planned shutdowns, so people here tend to follow a scope through more than one phase rather than working a single narrow slice of it.
Disciplines We Hire Into
Openings vary with workload, but the work sits across facilities and process engineering, electrical engineering, industrial control systems and PLC programming, SCADA and remote operations, equipment layout, and the project management and project controls that hold a scope together. Turnaround and planned shutdown work draws on the same group.
Experience We Look For
We are usually looking for people who already have EPCM experience — engineers, designers, and project staff who have worked on facilities that have to be built, commissioned, and then run by somebody else. Familiarity with practice on both sides of the Canada–US border is useful given where we work. If your background is close without being an exact match, send the resume and let us make that call.
Calgary and Houston
Engineering, design, and project work is shared between the two offices rather than split into separate books of business. Because this is facilities work, most roles involve some site time alongside the office work, and the balance depends on the project and the discipline.
